SASHA MASIELLO
July 05th — 07th
ASHTANGA IMMERSION
On July 5th CASA PAZ welcomes Sasha Masiello for a full immersion in Ashtanga yoga. Mysore practice is the traditional way of Ashtanga as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. In Mysore class, students work at their own pace, within their own breath, and their own abilities. The practice is designed to be sustainable and lifelong, with individuals growing slowly and steadily over time. This weekend, we’ll explore the Mysore practice and the philosophy of the Yoga Sūtra of Patañjali and chanting. We’ll also spend some time on questions and discussion.
ABOUT SASHA
Originally from Venezuela, Sasha started practicing Ashtanga yoga in 2013 as a response to an autoimmune illness. The practice came to transform her life, becoming a tool of mental and physical healing and growth. Through yoga as a method of knowing the self, we can continuously reflect on what patterns we wish to maintain or change within our own lives. Sasha, a student of the Vedantas and Vedic Chanting, is authorized at level II by Sarath Jois. During her third trip to Mysore, the birthplace of Ashtanga yoga, Sasha received the blessing of Sharath, to teach the method. Currently, Sasha is traveling the world to share her experience and practice of Ashtanga, with love and respect for the method.
